Welcome to the Broadview Thomson PTA website!
The mission of our PTA is to support our highly diverse students and community by advocating for and helping provide a rich learning environment designed to support the academic and social achievement of every student. Our goal for the past two years has been to continue to build school pride and spirit. We do this by engaging parents and families in our school community, highlighting the attributes of being a K-8 school, investing financial and volunteer resources in our school, and strengthening our communications efforts. This year the PTA will invest $75,000 to enrich our school community, thanks to the efforts of everyone who participated in last year’s fundraising activities. This is a 15% increase over the previous year! Our funding priorities are arts enrichment; support for our teachers and staff; technology enhancements; books; middle school pride; scholarships for fee-based activities; and minor capital improvements. Please join us – however you are able – and help make Broadview Thomson the best it can be!

Sign up now to volunteer for the 2012 - 2013 School Year!
Now is the time to sign-up for the 2012 - 2013 volunteer positions. Your time, effort and expertise provide a solid foundation for building a great school for our children. Without volunteers, many programs and school events would not be available!
Research shows that when parents are involved in their children's education, the children are more likely to earn better grades, have better social skills, attend school regularly, be more positive in their attitude toward school, graduate and continue their education, among other beneficial results.
There are volunteer positions that can be done on the weeknights/weekends, 1 time events, or a few hours a month throughout the year.
