Join PTA Meetings
While not required, you can join PTA meetings with board members and school staff to raise concerns, questions or provide suggestions to better support our students.

Members receive discounts from a varity of businesses, e.g. FedEx, Wild Waves, Code Wizards, LEGO Bags, Seattle Symphony, Car rentals (avis, budget), Airport parking, Office Depot, sporting events and more!

No Time Commitment Necessary
Join a committee — Low time commitment
Joining a committee means you get to support a specific and meaningful program. Your time means we can amplify our ability to meet student needs and celebrate our diverse student body. At the same time, you get the opportunity to build professional skills. We have several committee opportunities that will only take ~1 hour a week/ month.

Middle School Rep
Parent Teacher Classroom Rep- Make sure teachers and students are supported. And teachers use their PTA teacher funds.
Holiday Tree Sales- the chairs are getting the trees, but they won’t sell on their own. Help out at this special and fun event.
Giving Tree- help ensure students don’t go without this holiday season.
Be a committee chair — Low to Medium time commitment
Being a committee chair means you get to shape and lead some of our most meaningingful programs. Without your help, we can’t make our programs come to life. This is an opportunity to build professional skills, e.g project and people management, etc. This position is appointed by our President. It does not require a vote to be a chair. Expect ~ 2 hours per week/month.

Be a board member — Medium to High time commitment
A PTA board is responsible for with holding the well-being of the PTA. They are what keeps everything running smoothly. Unlike other positions, they are bound by three legal duties:
• Duty of Care: to pay attention to the organization’s activities and operations and to comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Duty of Loyalty: to put the interests of the organization before personal and professional interests
• Duty of Obedience: to remain the guardians of the mission and ensure funds are spent on the mission.
